Well, hello!

I'm Angie Hodges and I'm so happy you've chosen to stop by my shop! To begin, I'll tell you a bit about myself. I am a self taught artist, living with my husband and 2 kids in East Tennessee. I am drawn to a variety of artistic mediums and methods, but I tend to feel most settled in the expressionism and semi abstract arenas. My art is very much guided by the inner working of my emotions. I gravitate toward moody colors and textures because they best give voice to the depth of the human experience. I want to help others feel seen and validated through my work. If that happens by a simple brushstroke or a deep green shade on the canvas, whatever opens you up to deeper feeling is the spark I'm looking for. I truly believe that Beauty will save the world. Beauty shows us who we are, what we are capable of, and most importantly the goodness of the Creator who made us. I hope with my work I am able to put some beauty back into the world and help others feel known in the process.
